Koh Samui benefits from a good weather season of about 10 months of the year. The 'dry' season is generally from January till May and July through to September. Temperatures regularly reach 30 to 35 degrees till May and then 35 to 40 degrees till September with odd showers from July to September. The 'wet' season is generally from mid October to mid December when temperatures are around the 25 to 30 degree mark. November is often regarded as the 'monsoon" season, though the heavy rains that come at this time are generally only for a few hours at a time, with many days in between blessed with sunny spells. Tropical rain showers may occur late December and early January. As with all weather predictions in this ever changing world of climate irregularity, you can never be absolutely sure and the weather can catch us out but we hope this gives you a helpful guide nonetheless. (Please note, the weather predictions for Koh Samui are very different to those of Phuket and Krabi, which experience different seasons due to their location in the country).
