• Very successful holiday

  Hi Alva

  Just got back - we all went on to do other things and met up for a last night (Friday) in Bangkok.   Very successful holiday thank you.  Villa lovely, pool perfect and James and Alex great to have around, particularly as my son had suffered a hand injury which needed the dressings changed every other day!

  A couple of minor hiccups when we arrived, ie no water and the sim card on the phone was out of date, but James sorted everything out quickly and got the rugby going on the TV.  Very necessary.  All in all good time was had by all.  Nice driver who took us to elephants and temples; great food from nearby restaurant and a chef who was very forebearing of all the questions from her foodees at the breakfast bar when she came in to cook for us one night.  I gather the Thai kick boxing, scuba diving and night markets were also great hits - grandparents got to baby sit those evenings.  Forgotten too how much Thai people love small children.  We had wonderful meals out with the children being taken off our hands and entertained by staff while adults ate food.  Lovely memory of an entire bus load of women all rushing over to wave goodbye to my ten month grandson Charlie when we got off.   I see what you mean about the airport at Koh Samui - has to be the nicest airport I have been in.

• Astasia Villa is a nice place to stay

  Dear Alva and Roger,

  I just got back home last night from Thaïland.

  To answer your mail and make some comments :

  Globally, I think the Astasia Villa is a nice place to stay, lovely pool, nice house and Cara is lovely and does a great job. I also appreciated the help you gave before my arrival to organize and plan my trip, yoga classes etc....

  Nevertheless, at the end of our stay, I consider that the price we paid per night was too high considering the lot of things that did not work well or were unconvenient.

  Among others :

  - A lot of lights inside and outside the house, did not work, especially outside over the big dining table, so that we finally had to carry the table on the other side next to the pool.

  - It was raining from the ceiling, trough the light and electricity hole in the bathroom downstairs  : even though it has been repaired on the next days, it was really dangerous.

  - The towels were not 100% clean even though they had been washed. They had marks and it happened twice, that fresh replaced towel in my bathroom had blood marks, which was not nice.

  - The matress of the deckchairs near the pool were scratched.

  And many different little things that let us think that it was not the quality we could have expected for the price we paid, which I regrett.

  - I think also that if the check-in can only be done at 3 pm, it is not fair that the check-out time is 10 am : it should be the same time to be fair.

  At the end of the day, I estimate that the global service delivered is not priceworthy.

  Even more if I compare to Bali, where, for the same price, you've got 2 people to clean everyday and one cook available everyday from 7 am till 16 pm, that you only pay extra for the diner.

  Hope these comments will help you optimize the global service you deliver or review the price you ask for it.

  We are pleased to hear that Anne-cecile enjoyed her holiday in Astasia Villa. We are sorry some of the lights were not working, but inevitably with some 230 ceiling lights in the villa, the loss of 1 or 2 is always going to happen. You just hope that 2 or 3 do not fail in the same area at the same time!!!!! The problem with the water leaking inthe ceiling has been resolved, in fact the whole roof above has been replaced. Our Managing Agent has been advised to check the condition of all towels more carefully. Our price is in fact very competative and we charge much less than similar villas in the same street.

  we enjoy the two weeks in your nice house. Everything was well and the sun shines 14 days ! James looked very good after anything. Only the see is not so good for swimmimg. So we need every day a taxi to come to Lamai beach. At the beginning, we had dinner in Simply live restaurant. It was so pretty, nice people, very good meal and cheep prices so we stay there at many evennings.

  Hi Roger and Alva,

  We made it back safely to sunny KL yesterday evening. Your villa is lovely and we are quite disappointed that we did not get to enjoy much aside from the sofa. James and Boy took very good care of us under the circumstances and I am very grateful for that. Our thoughts are now with the people of Ko Samui as they put the island back together. We will try again for a sunny holiday in Ko Samui sometime in the near future and will definitely consider a stay at your villa.

  We have all settled very well in Villa Astasia and are enjoying some relaxing and recovering moments. Your villa is just awsome with the beautiful garden and the pool not to forget. A couple of the guys have had some stomach flu, but  besides that all is fine. We had Eric from Samui Management here and they have been very helpful. Nothing at all to complaint about.

• brilliant stay at astasia villa

  I was so happy to stay at this spacious and exotic Astasia Villa when I was in Koh Samui last month. I really appreciated all the arrangement from you, it made us had a wonderful and unforgettable holiday. Firstly, the minibus is very good for 8 of us instead of a taxi.
